Welcome to "The Art of Strategic Communication" blogspot!

Hi everyone!

My name is Cayden, and I currently reside in my hometown of Hartford, Alabama. I graduated from Geneva County High School in 2017 and earned my Associate of Arts degree from Enterprise State Community College in May 2019.

Just over a year later in December of 2020, I graduated with my Bachelor of Science Degree in Interdisciplinary Studies. Many of you may not have heard about this new-coming degree option; however, it is a very flexible degree plan that allows students to choose three minors as the equivalent of one major. The minors I chose to study are Graphic Design, Global Business, and Fine and Performing Arts.

With my degree in hand, I have become both a full-time employee and a full-time student. I currently work for a company called Crazy Cool and Company that holds several brands, including a coffee shop called "Wild Honey" where I am the Marketing Brand Specialist. More importantly, I am a student in Troy University's Master of Science in Strategic Communication program. Here I am striving to become a better listener, a better communicator, and a better friend.

In this blog, we will be diving into the latest technological advances and media practices that will help us stay engaged with the constantly evolving media landscape. Each week, here at artofstrategiccom.blogspot.com, we will discuss a new media channel, trend, or discovery.

As an older sister, I have recently learned that I am falling behind on many media platforms and trends. The way we communicate with each other has completely changed throughout my life and it can be difficult to keep up; however, there are still many ways we can strategically communicate with one another despite these challenges.

Being able to bridge the technological gaps that are formed everyday between generations is extremely important to me as a creator and communicator. One of my favorite sayings is, "Creativity takes courage." With that being said, I believe that effective communication requires both creativity and courage. So, it's time to dive in and discover more about The Art of Strategic Communication.
